Make a year-end gift today!

In this most challenging year, whether you gave a financial gift, a furniture or home goods donation, or helped spread the word about New Life Furniture Bank, I want to thank you for your support which has enabled us to furnish over 1000 homes for families overcoming devastating circumstances. Together, we play a critical role in ending the cycle of homelessness in our community by providing essential furnishings for those starting over.

Would you consider helping us end 2020 strong?

MAKE YOUR END OF YEAR GIFT HERE
Take advantage of CARES Act benefits associated with 2020 giving:

When making decisions about your year-end giving, New Life Furniture Bank would like to highlight two unique considerations for 2020 from the CARES Act established by Congress in response to COVID-19:

  1. Individuals will be permitted to deduct up to $300of cash gifts when made directly to nonprofits even if the standard deduction is usedwhen filing taxes. The CARES Act qualifies the $300 as an above the line deduction per individual.
  1. If you’re considering major gifts this year to help offset your income taxes, the CARES Act enables individuals to deduct cash gifts made to charity up to 100%of their AGI (normally this is 60%).

Donating appreciated stock is also a great way to make your gift go even farther. Many investors find themselves with appreciated stock, ETF or mutual fund positions. By donating appreciated stock, you avoid hefty capital gains taxes and are actually giving 20% more than if you sold the stock and then made a cash donation. Meanwhile you can still deduct the full fair-market value of your gift from your income taxes.

BECOME A SUSTAINING DONOR TODAY

We are so grateful for your partnership with New Life Furniture Bank. Whether you are able to give $25 or $25,000 we value your commitment to helping end the cycle of homelessness with us in the Greater Cincinnati area. We wish you a happy and healthy New Year, and a brighter 2021!

Many blessings,
