Urgent Need: Sofas

What Does A Furniture Bank Do?

From Donation to Delivery — Here’s How It Works

Truck

1. We Collect

Six days a week, our trucks pick up gently used furniture throughout Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

Community members donate:

  • Beds

  • Dressers

  • Sofas

  • Tables and chairs

  • Household essentials

Your donated furniture becomes someone else’s fresh start.

2. We Prepare

At our warehouse and Community Engagement Center:

  • Volunteers sort and pack household items

  • Woodworking volunteers build tables and repair furniture

  • Teams prepare full-home setups for delivery

In 2025 alone, volunteers gave nearly 20,000 hours of service.

3. We Deliver & Set up

We partner with more than 100 social service agencies who provide case management and ongoing support.

These agencies refer families who are:

  • Moving out of homelessness

  • Escaping domestic violence

  • Rebuilding after incarceration

  • Starting over after job loss or crisis

We don’t just drop furniture at the curb.

We deliver and set up an entire household of furnishings — transforming empty spaces into welcoming homes.

Each referred household can receive up to 15 essential items.
